6 ways of setting Vegetable Garden at Home

1. Container Garden: This is the most simple one and most of us practice this style of gardening. If you don’t have a backyard to plant vegetables, you grow them in a container. The container can be of different sizes and could be easily kept at the balcony or windows of your room. The best part about container gardening is that you can move your pots according to the sunlight, rain and any other weather conditions.

2. Vertical Garden: Vertical gardening is gardening on the vertical surface. This is a perfect way to form a beautiful garden in case you do not have any space in your balcony or backyard. You can grow small plants in a vertical garden depending on the height of the wall. You can also sow underground vegetables like potato, garlic, carrot etc in a vertical garden set up.

3. Raised beds: If you have a backyard space but you do not have a healthy soil to grow vegetables in, you can grow it in raised beds. It takes years for the soil to become nutritious and healthy for plants to survive so if your backyard cannot provide such soil it is better to create a healthy potting mix and grow your vegetables on raised beds. Raised beds offer great drainage and you can set it up in any corner of the house or even your front yard.

4. Multilayer vegetable Garden: You can grow multiple vegetables in a single pot. For example: you can grow a tomato plant and a potato in the same pot. This will save space and you can grow multiple vegetables at a single time.

5. Rooftop Gardening: If you have access to a rooftop then it is a brilliant way to grow vegetables. You can provide direct sunlight to the plants and also rainwater is a natural way to water the plants.

6. Window Boxes: If you do not have a balcony, no worries grow plants in a window box. There are a lot of creative window boxes available which you can use to decorate your house as well as grow some fresh vegetables. All you need is a good amount of sunlight coming on that window area. No digging, no tiling and no weeding required in this style of garden.
